Allah SWT has commanded us in Soorah Noor verse 30-31 "...and they should not strike their feet so as to draw attention to their hidden beauty/ ornaments..." The wearing of jewelry is not forbiden, but such jewelry that makes a sound when moving, such as bangles, anklets with little charms etc. will be forbiden to wear infront of non-mahrams (those men whom a women may marry) We may wear it in our homes or in a gathering of women.
